Emergency contraception is available free of charge from most pharmacies and also from your GP or sexual health clinic.
If you need advice about emergency contraception (EC) you can contact your nearest sexual health clinic for further advice, out with clinic times you should phone NHS 24, or visit the NHS inform website.
Most pharmacies in Forth Valley will supply it free of charge to anyone aged 13 and over who is registered with a GP in Scotland. The sooner you take it the more effective it is – so don’t delay. Emergency contraception is used soon after unprotected sex or if you think your regular method has let you down.
Everyone working for the NHS has a legal duty to keep information held about you confidential and secure.
When you talk to staff here, you have a right to expect anything you say will not be spoken about or passed on to anyone outside the team without your permission, irrespective of age.

We offer testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), free condom supplies, pregnancy tests, all forms of contraception and emergency contraception, and general advice and support.
