Cases of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) including Gonorrhoea are on the rise.
Gonorrhoea is a sexually transmitted infection passed from person to person through unprotected sex (without a condom).
Symptoms
Green or yellow discharge from the vagina or penis, pain when peeing and, in women, bleeding between periods.
The best way to prevent all sexually transmitted infections is to practice safe sex, this means:
- Using a condom
- Getting tested
- Reducing sexual partners
If you’ve had unprotected oral, vaginal or anal sex, it’s really important to get tested.
Testing is free and confidential.
